And night after night, Comfort Kitchen—a hotly anticipated arrival to Dorchester after years of planning and pop-ups from chef Kwasi Kwaa and his team—churns out exactly that, highlighting fundamental global ingredients like rice, okra, and rum (shout-out to beverage director Kyisha Davenport’s illuminating cocktail program). We’re big fans of the jerk-roasted duck leg with pikliz, a Haitian-style pickled vegetable relish, and the meltingly tender yassa chicken, a Senegalese-style stew, but really, every dish on the menu makes us feel right at home.”
