Our Legacy Harvested:
Out of the Wes Coast, Our Legacy Harvested was founded in 2020 to educate, advance, and empower the BIPOC community in the wine industry. We work with individuals at any career level to advance their knowledge, expertise and opportunities in wine.

The Wine Linguist:
Alice Achayo has a passion for food because of its capacity to connect people from different cultures and backgrounds. After many years of working in the industry, she began to see how the language and culture of wine excluded so many people. In all aspects of wine, nowhere were the cultures, languages, and cuisines of the global south — the global majority, represented. Additionally, the wine industry’s elitist culture continues to make wine inaccessible, unapproachable, and unfamiliar to most consumers regardless of background. She aims to shift the language and culture of wine through events and education.
